My Thoughts
Rating: ★★★☆☆
I’ve never read anything by this author before, but I did really enjoy her writing style. It was easy to focus on this book despite my problems with it. I’m actually interested in reading some of her other works, just maybe with a little more caution.
I personally found the age-gap to be a little uncomfortable. Typically age-gap romances don’t bother me, but as someone close to Aurnia’s age, the idea of someone Conor’s age being interested in me made me uncomfortable. I feel like what made it so uncomfortable was both characters constantly recognizing how odd the relationship was.
I do think I’d have liked this a lot more if she wasn’t still a teenager, though. The age-gap was really my only problem with the book. Again, the author’s writing style was great! I just personally wasn’t a fan of the relationship itself.
